Succentor and Minor Canon of Southwark Cathedral and Minister-in-Charge of St Hugh’s Bermondsey

The Bishop of Southwark and the Cathedral Chapter wish to appoint a priest of the Church of England who will serve the Cathedral as Succentor and Minister-in-Charge of the Conventional District of St Hugh, Bermondsey.

The person appointed will assist the Canon Precentor in the preparation and delivery of the liturgy for the Cathedral, will officiate and preach at the Cathedral services and will have a pastoral role with the choristers and young people within the Cathedral community. As Minister-in-Charge of St Hugh’s Bermondsey, the successful candidate will take responsibility for the worship at St Hugh’s, pastoral care of the congregation and mission and ministry to the local community.

Events Verger

Salary:  £17,102 (£23,943 pro rata)

We have an opportunity to join our dedicated team of vergers to uphold the dignity of worship in the Cathedral, to care for its security and to welcome all who enter it.  The Vergers play an important part in ensuring the proper functioning of the Cathedral as a place of worship and for many other roles and activities which it serves.
